Overview
If you only have a limited number of boats to do different types of activities, but don’t want to be oversold, you can use Stake Your Claim feature. If has 3 trips, 5 am full day (8hours) 8 am half day (4 hours) and 1 pm half day( 4 hours). When staking the full day, the other two 2 half days are removed because they overlap, if they book the 1 pm half day, the 5 am full day (8hours) is blocked but the 8 am half day still displays.

Enable Stake Your Claim
- On the left menu bar, click on Settings > General Settings > System Settings > Enable Stake Your Claim
Usages
- On the left menu bar, click on Tour>Tour List > Edit Tour 5 AM Full day charter (8 hours ) > Stake Your Claim Tab
- You can have as Many Tours in the Folder you want. You can Remove whenever you want. Each Tour will have its OWN inventory. We are not changing the basic flow and data of tours here.
- Add them under Selected ( 8 AM AM half day charter (4 hours) and 1 PM half day charter (4 hours))
- Clicks Save
When Staking the Full day, the other Two half days are Removed because they overlap, if they Book the 1 pm half day, the 5 am 8 hour is Blocked but the 5 am half day still Displays.
The Tour availability of the staked tour will show a message “A staked tour was sold.” on the date of that original tour booked.
In example above, the inventory of ( 8 AM AM half day charter (4 hours) and 1 PM half day charter (4 hours)) will have their inventory Blocked out automatically for 3/29/2021 and will have that message A staked tour was sold to indicate that it blocked because of the stake claim.
If they Book the 1 pm half day, the 5 am 8 hour is Blocked but the 8 am half day still Displays.
If a Reservation has been Cancelled or Changed to a new date and it will Refund inventory for the tour and then Unblocked out all the other Tours Availability for that day.
